International Cooperation
MBC promotes international cooperation in various aspects to build up its reputation as a global media group.
MBC is a key member of international broadcasting organizations such as ABU, IATAS and INPUT and makes efforts to create future value with overseas broadcasters. In particular, MBC co-hosts MBC-ABU International Radio Human Rights Campaign to continuously cooperate with Asian broadcasters under the goal of improving human rights sensitivity in the Asia-Pacific region. Recognizing the importance of relationships with other Asian broadcasters, MBC has continuously cooperated with Fuji TV through regular conferences, joint production and news exchange.

Co-production
MBC is taking new paths in international co-production to produce high-quality content the world can relate to in harmony with the globalizing media industry. We've recently co-produced the documentary <The Pandemic> with BBC of UK, RAI of Italy, and Rede TV of Brazil; the documentary was aired globally on BBC Our World and awaits to be programmed on RAI2 channel of Italy. In addition, documentary <Empty Hous Project> was produced with joint funding from Discovery Channel; and <Asian Rice Road> was produced with joint planning of 5 international producers and broadcasting networks. <Bae Chul-soo’s Music Camp> of MBC FM4U, our radio channel, celebrated its 30th anniversary with special live broadcasting from Maida Vale Studio of BBC. MBC will continue to extend its presence as a brand in the global stage and expand our global distribution network by having our production go global.

MBC is striving to become a global media group representing the excellence of K-content.
Since <What on Earth is Love> was aired on Chinese CCTV in 1997, MBC has repeatedly opened up new frontiers for the ‘Korean wave’. From <The Jewel in the Palace> that has been aired in 94 countries worldwide becoming a milestone in the entire Korean wave phenomenon to <The King of Mask Singer> making mega hits on Fox channel in the U.S. in 2019 and record ratings in Germany, France, Australia, Netherlands, among others, MBC content has been entertaining more and more global viewers. A British media consultancy, K7 Media, chose <The King of Mask Singer> as the best format of 2019. <The King of Mask Singer> today stands strong as the format global audience loves with remakes in 53 different countries.
MBC operates an official YouTube channel as a part of our effort to keep in close touch with our viewers worldwide, and a global content website to allow overseas viewers and industry experts to access sample video of our productions with introductions in Korean, English, Chinese, and Japanese. MBC is devoted to become a global media group communicating with the world in the midst of rapidly changing media market based on our outstanding content producing capabilities.
